Revitalizing Valero's Montreal-East Terminal
Team Valero and their families recently planted 750 trees at Valero’s Montreal-East terminal site in Canada. This project was carried out in collaboration with the (Société de verdissement du Montréal métropolitain) Soverdi, an organization that develops greening strategies in urban environments. Valero worked with Soverdi to assess and level the land, test soil quality, and identify the appropriate plants and trees.
After the prep work was completed, employees began planting white firs, silver maple, Ohio buckeyes, serviceberries, European larches, Colorado spruces, Japanese lilacs, and American elms. Some of these trees, at full maturity, will grow up to 82 feet (25 meters). Now, more than 20 species of trees and bushes suited to urban conditions make up this micro forest, which is unique to an industrial site of that size.
Valero has a large industrial footprint in the east of Montreal and hopes this project inspires others in the area to participate in similar efforts, creating more green spaces with a variety of plant species.

Do you not understand biology 1) WTF do you mean by "Horrendous efficiency". Do you mean conversion efficiency in the refinery or conversion efficiency of animal feed to fat. 2) That problem can be solved by feeding livestock dried algae. Less methane will be produced in their stomach by anaerobic digestion.
@@ericliu5491 I have a pretty good understanding of unicorn biology, but not much else. 1) Good question. I meant that the caloric conversion efficiency of boeuf is 2.9% ± 0.7%. I would assume the refinery would have pretty decent efficiency because they can optimize the process. 2) I've heard of that, but I don't see how that solves the problem since there are plenty of other carbon emissions other than cows belching methane in the production process. Perhaps you could enlighten me?
